Voltia has launched a free new online tool intended to help business owners and fleet managers easily identify the best-suited electric light commercial vehicles and/or fleet cars for their needs, according to a new press release sent to CleanTechnica and others.
The new tool — dubbed the EVXpert — allows users to identify and search through an extensive database easily by answering a couple of simple questions. The tool uses a custom-designed algorithm to quickly get users to the vehicles that fit their work. The questions are about cargo capacity needs, range needs, charging schedule expectations, etc.
As noted above, this new tool is free, and it doesn’t require registration of any kind either.
“One of the main barriers to electric vehicle uptake is simply that people are not aware of the available vehicles on the market right now,” stated Juraj Ulehla, managing partner of Voltia. “Yet this knowledge is one of Voltia’s core competencies. If you are interested in an electric LCV we want to help you find one. This portal makes it easy for anyone to discover and compare electric LCVs and choose the one which meets their needs. It’s the next step in our efforts to provide the tools companies need to transition to carbon free transportation and reduce air pollution in our communities.”
The email sent to CleanTechnica provides a bit more in the way of details: “The primary criteria users look for are range, payload, and cargo space volume, but the application also considers many other factors such as recharging abilities, road characteristics, and more.”
“There are 24 vehicles in the database as of this release, and more will be added as they become available. For a small fee, Voltia offers users a more in-depth consultation with a Voltia expert to discuss their results and next steps.”
The new tool can be found online at voltia.com/evxpert.
