The Beam is a tri-annual sustainability-focused print publication covering the energy transition and the race to a zero carbon economy. Does the name ring a bell? Yes, well, The Beam is published in partnership with CleanTechnica, which is why you can read some of The Beam’s most interesting content twice a week on this page. Created a year and a half ago, the Berlin-based publication is now about to release its fourth edition to the world.

The team behind The Beam is on a quest to answer one of the biggest questions of our time — can we win the race to a zero carbon economy by switching to clean energy, re-inventing cities, divesting from our fossil fuel centric past and investing into a sustainable future?

The Beam understands itself as a platform for the people, companies and organizations that drive the transition of our societies and economy to keep humanity in its carbon budget.

What do you get?

The Beam #4 brings you 150+ pages of coverage on electric vehicles, the future of food, renewable energy policy, society after oil, the impact of the web on our environment, sustainable fashion, circular economy, and smart mobility, as well as interviews with Akinwumi Adesina (President of the African Development Bank), Sabine Döbeli (Swiss Sustainable Finance), Patrick Graichen (Agora Energiewende), Christiane Averbeck (Climate Alliance Germany), Monica Oliphant (International Solar Energy Society), Frank Pawlitschek and Knut Hechtfischer (Ubitricity).

The Beam Magazine is a quarterly print publication that takes a modern perspective on the energy transition. From Berlin we report about the people, companies and organizations that shape our sustainable energy future around the world. The team is headed by journalist Anne-Sophie Garrigou and designer Dimitris Gkikas. Our language is energy transition and that's spoken everywhere. The Beam is already being distributed in most countries in Europe, but also in Niger, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Japan, Chile and the United States. And this is just the beginning.
