It’s nice to relay good news from Florida, especially after clean energy in Florida has been under so many attacks. In a Ygrene Energy Fund press release, the company announced that its YgreneWorks™ PACE (property assessed clean energy) program has created 1,945 jobs in Florida. Those clean jobs generated $324 million in economic stimuli across Florida since 2013. Ygrene expects these results to increase several times over.

Part of a connected, flourishing job-growth industry throughout our country, Ygrene news is potent hope for Florida supporting a growing network of trained and certified local contractors — 536+ small business partners.

“Ygrene has funded 5,485 PACE projects in the state totaling $129M, meeting demand for greater climate protection echoed from the statehouse in Tallahassee to city hall in Miami,” YGrene adds.

“Since January 2016, Ygrene has financed more than three times as many projects as it did in the entirety of 2015, solidifying its position as the leading PACE provider in the Sunshine State. To support this growth and a full pipeline, Ygrene recently opened a new office and state-of-the-art call center in Doral. This expansion has created more than 50 new jobs.”

Small businesses are instrumental in several renewable fields, and certainly in this case.

“Supporting small businesses is essential to keep Florida’s economy thriving,” said Miami-Dade Commission Chairman Jean Monestime. “I applaud the work Ygrene has done to bring in new and innovative jobs and bolster local economies in our county.”

“Since we started offering Ygrene financing to our customers, our business has grown ten-fold and, now, nearly 90% of our clients are utilizing YgreneWorks for their financing. I’ve hired 65 new employees and am looking for additional retail space to keep up with demand,” Robert MacKinnon, SMART Efficient Solutions, says.
