Solar West is part of three portfolio shows (Solar Canada will be in December 5-6, 2016 in Toronto, CA) which gives you the chance to discover opportunities in all of Canada’s most important solar energy markets. It is the leading conference for solar policy and market trends in Western Canada. [Disclosure: This is a sponsored post from Solar Canada/Hannover Fairs.]
Why Attend? – Opportunities and challenges abound in the Canadian renewable energy market, especially with new government policies and increased international cooperation in battling climate change. Canada plays a leading role in renewable energy in North America, and western provinces are expected to play a key role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Be part of the change, join us at Solar West!
Alberta is Growing Renewables! – Alberta has just announced an additional 5,000 megawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2030 to achieve the climate plan goals outlined last year. This announcement includes, “a firm target of 30 percent of electricity used in the province coming from renewable sources such as wind, hydro and solar,” as reported in Reuters. The renewables target is based on the amount of energy used– Alberta is Canada’s biggest greenhouse gas polluter– rather than the province’s energy capacity.
Attend Solar West and be part of Canada’s solar shift!
