Tesla has revealed who its new Chief Financial Officer will be after Deepak Ahuja steps down; as well who will be filling the position of President of Global Sales and Service.

Jason WheelerThe new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Jason Wheeler, will be assuming his position on November 30, 2015 — but Deepak will actually be remaining with the company for several months after this date in order to provide for an easy transition (relatively speaking). Deepak will be retiring after this transition period is over.

Wheeler has spent the last 13 years or so at Google as the Vice President of Finance, and spent this time leading the company’s global finance function. Qualifications include an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Colorado State University.

Wheeler commented on the new position thusly: “What the Tesla team has achieved in building compelling alternatives in transport and energy is simply incredible. I am so excited to join an amazing team dedicated to such a broad and inspiring mission. Looking forward to jumping into the fast lane.”

Jon McNeillThe new President of Global Sales and Service will be Jon McNeill, formerly the CEO of Enservio.

Here’s some further information on McNeill via a recent press release:

In 2013 he was named “Most Admired CEO” in the small/midsize company category from the Boston Business Journal. Before Enservio, Jon co-founded Sterling Collision Centers. At Sterling, Jon’s team reduced industry repair times by 90% (from 18 days to less than 2 days) while simultaneously growing the business at more than 40% per year. In 1993, Jon founded First Notice Systems. He is a graduate of Northwestern University.

He commented on the new position thusly: “Very few companies are literally changing the world for the better — Tesla is. I’m thrilled to join this incredible team.”
