Win A Tesla Model S From Illinois Solar Energy Association
The Illinois Solar Energy Association* (ISEA) is raffling off a Tesla Model S as part of their 2015 auction series. The contest is open to US residents only, and there are only 2,000 raffle tickets available total. Raffle tickets can be purchased on the ISEA online store.
One raffle entry is $100, but you can increase your chances of winning by purchasing four tickets for $300. The drawing for the contest will be held publicly on December 10, 2015 at 7pm CST during the organization’s annual membership meeting. The winner will be notified with a phone call from the ISEA Board President.
The Tesla Model S is one of the most desirable cars currently on the US market. This beautiful and fully electric vehicle has received accolades across the world, and was recently named by Car & Driver as “car of the century.” And with its 265-mile range, it has the best electric mileage-per-dollar value when compared with other electric cars on the market. The Tesla Model S also has the highest safety rating in America, yet has lightning-fast acceleration, going from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 2.8 seconds (for the highest-end model). The MSRP for the base model is about US$70,000.
But the best part? You get to build your own Tesla Model S! ISEA will provide the raffle winner the funds with which they can build their own, fully customized Tesla. And since most of the cost of the car is covered, it frees up your budget to add on some sweet upgrades.
The ISEA is a non-profit organization that is the Illinois chapter of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES). ISEA represents over 400 members, including more than 100 businesses across the state. Its mission is to educate and advocate for the widespread application of solar, wind, and other forms of renewable energy technologies for the people of Illinois. ISEA offers public education and professional education courses, and it advocates for strong renewable energy policies on both a state and federal level.
Current projects include the 2015 ISEA Solar Tour, which allows the community to learn about how local residents and businesses own, maintain, and live with renewable energy. The 2015 Tour took place Saturday, October 3rd, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, inspiring people across the state to make sustainable energy choices to reduce costs, support energy independence, protect against power outages, and reduce carbon emissions. ISEA is also raffling off a home solar PV system for their 2015 raffle event. The solar PV raffle is open to Illinois residents only. (The Tesla Model S raffle is open to all US residents.)

I was excited until, “The contest is open to Illinois residents only”. 🙁
hi Andy- the tesla contest is open to all US residents; it’s only the PV raffle that’s open for IL residents only! Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks, good to know!
Man, if I could do this “raffle” too I’d be rich. Even if you bought all 2k tickets at the $300 price discount that’s a $150,000 tesla. This is sad. Maybe if they were actually giving something away this would be neat.
You have a problem with non-profits running raffles to raise funds?
Worst raffle web site every. Zero detail past it is a TESLA and the ticket price max tickets. No information on what TESLA is it a $70k version or a $150 version. I guessing low end, since if all by 4 ticket packs ($300), 300*500 = $150,000 not much room to raise money. Story here says yo get to build you own, but can’t tell that from the web site.
