Plugless Power Lowers Price, Gets Big Shoutout From Jon Cryer

Originally published on EV Obsession.

We’ve covered Plugless Power for years, but it seems like it’s been awhile. Basically, Plugless Power is one of the top providers of wireless home EV charging stations. (Actually, it claims to be the provider of the world’s first wireless EV charging station.) Someone from Plugless Power (or, more accurately, Evatran) recently dropped me a line to let me know about some big news.

Plugless 2

First of all, Plugless Power has lowered its prices. US prices are now $1,260 for a Chevy Volt charger, $1,540 for a Nissan LEAF charger, and $1,940 for a Cadillac ELR charger. It also now offers free shipping in the US and (for the time being) Canada.

The other news is basically just that actor Jon Cryer (of “Two and a Half Men”) gave the company an unsolicited shoutout… following an unsolicited shoutout for the Chevy Volt, which Cryer drives and loves.

Starting with the Volt shoutout, read this series of tweets from bottom to top:

Jon Cryer-justVOLT

And now go on and read his follow-up support for the wireless EV charger he apparently loves (again, read from bottom to top, because… Twitter):

Well that’s a good plug! (Pun initially not intended, but come on, that’s a good one!)

In theory, your most exclusive and best content goes behind a paywall. But then fewer people read it! We just don't like paywalls, and so we've decided to ditch ours. Unfortunately, the media business is still a tough, cut-throat business with tiny margins. It's a never-ending Olympic challenge to stay above water or even perhaps — gasp — grow. So ...
