I’m not catching up only on Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week videos this week. I’m also catching up on some videos from the Fall of 2013! Below is a video I filmed during a field trip at EVS27. This video is from inside the Barcelona factory of electric scooter company Going Green. The factory is actually located in a district of Barcelona that the city is revitalizing as a manufacturing center. Going Green gets a deep discount on rent for creating jobs and building a green product there. Here’s more from inside the factory, and then even more info following the video:
This electric scooter is actually used in a scooter-sharing network in Barcelona called Motit. The network utilizes smartphones and allows you to rent a scooter by time or a distance. If you understand Spanish, the clip below provides more info. But even if you don’t understand Spanish, it provides some useful video footage of the factory and electric scooters.
