DIY Cleantech Resources
A couple months back, one of our dedicated, awesome readers dropped a great idea into the comments section of one of our stories. The idea, in short:
Cleantechnica should probably become more of a DIY site. Where people can come to visit forums for information on how to accomplish things.
I agree that we should be offering much more of this, and the forum idea has actually been pitched many times.
To start with, I intend to start a handful of “forum posts.” Quite simply, a CleanTechnica contributor or I will write a short intro on a DIY topic or technology and then solicit helpful feedback from you readers. I know we have a ton of DIYers reading CleanTechnica. I hope you will help to teach others what you know, and learn from others as well.
Of course, that’s not exactly the same as a forum. I’d also like to get an actually forum going, and will find out if folks in the Important Media network have any great suggestions, but this is going to be a bit more complicated and take a bit of time. As we proceed with that, if you have any great suggestions for forum platforms, please drop a note in the comments below! (Or send me a message on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, or LinkedIn… sorry, I don’t use MySpace 😀 ).
Getting back to the DIY cleantech posts: as these are published, I’ll add them to the top of this article, so you can bookmark this article for now as a place to check in on our progress on this front. 😀
