Potential Funding Opportunity For PV Projects In Europe
Reposted from the website of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association:
The European Union’s NER300 programme, which funds innovative low-carbon energy demonstration projects, has issued a new call for proposals. EPIA monitoring has found that it includes several potential funding opportunities for PV projects.
Published on 3 April, the call for proposals includes the following subcategories of projects that can compete for funding:
- Large-scale concentrator photovoltaics power plants with nominal capacity 20 MWe [PVa] with an AC system efficiency of 28% or higher
- Large scale multi-junction Si-thin-film photovoltaic power plants with nominal capacity 40 MWe [PVb] with a module area efficiency of 11% or higher, and an AC system efficiency of 8.5% or higher
- Large scale CIGS-based photovoltaics power plants with nominal capacity 40 MWe [PVc] with a module area efficiency of 16% or higher, and an AC system efficiency of 13% or higher
An indicative timetable for the call has been published:
3 April 2013 | Call for Proposals published |
3 months from publication of Call for Proposals | Member States submit Proposals to the EIB |
Up to 12 months from publication of Call for Proposals, subject to the number of Project Applications | Selection assessment, notably EIB Due Diligence assessment |
Up to 17 months from publication of Call for Proposals, subject to the number of Project Applications | Ranking list, confirmation and Award Decision |
More details on the participation in the call are specified in the call for proposals and in the technology categories listed at the bottom of the DG CLIMA related webpage.
