A reader shared this pretty Castledockrell Wind Farm video in the comments of a post this week and I thought it would make for a fun weekend post, so here it is:

Try fucking living near it – I live 360 metres from a turbine built illegally without my consent – you wouldn’t think it’s pretty then

Yep, saw that video after the commenter posted it. Great video, and made on an iPhone by the looks of it…

Not sure how big it is though, one website says there’s 18x E70/E4 2MW turbines, and another says it has 15x E82 turbines.

      might have grown in size.

& yeah, i happened to stumble across an iSpot store the other day and was playing with an iPad and saw the same video design :D first time i saw that (not an owner of any i products) :D

Quiet relaxing sound track and lovely video. It is far removed from the reality of living in close proximity to the Castledockrell and Ballindaggin windfarms. Why not show the reality and include the unbearable noise pollution being caused.

        • Bob_Wallace

Because there is no unbearable noise pollution being caused.

But the coal industry thanks you for your efforts on their behalf….

I am speaking on my own behalf as a resident of the area. I have no affiliation to any group but I do know what the noise levels are.
