I have now crossed the 30,000 miles (49,000 km) milestone in my 2019 Tesla Model 3, in just over 16 months, and in October I reached one full year on a set of Michelin CrossClimate+ tires, which will give some precise range data, so this is a perfect time for an update.
Hitting the 25,000 km (15,534 mile) mark in 8 months seems like a good excuse to let you all in on how things are working out for me and my Tesla Model 3.
This is more of an initial report of why I chose a certain set of tires for my Model 3 rather than a final account for lifetime cost. Hopefully it will take many, many miles before I’ll be able to add it all up.

Tesla just rolled out a series of updates to the Model 3 configurator that lowered prices across the board in many countries. The new change was accompanied by a flip flop on the base color of all of Tesla’s vehicles — from black to “pearl white.” It is now an extra $750 to add black but no extra charge to choose white. Grey (“midnight silver metallic”) and blue (“deep blue metallic”) cost $1000 and red costs $2000.
