Tesla didn’t start the electric door handle craze. Hotrodders in the late 1940s and early 1950s substituted electric buttons for mechanical door handles in their effort to “de-chrome” their cars. But Tesla, under Elon Musk’s direction, took the idea and ran with it when it introduced the Model S. Subsequent … [continued]
Tesla is reportedly planning to stop producing vehicles at its factory in China for almost a month in January 2027. It’s not really clear why. According to our latest China EV sales report, Tesla sales were down 9% in the country in the first half of the year. However, the … [continued]
Tesla Full Self Driving (FSD) is still not at the unsupervised level in the United States. If your car is driving itself with FSD, you are supposed to be paying attention the whole time and ready to intervene. However, many FSD users love the capability and swear by it. I … [continued]
There hasn’t really been a lot of notable news from Tesla lately. Even on hardcore Tesla fan sites, the news this year has often been little tidbits that mean more or less nothing and end up leading nowhere significant. There have been times when I’ve thought, “Hmm, I must be … [continued]

First of all, I want to note that whether Tesla sales are booming in China or not is sort of irrelevant to Tesla’s/Elon Musk’s vision for the company and how it is supposed to succeed now. Musk has all but given up on serious growth from normal automaker improvements, vehicles … [continued]
Tesla has rolled out a number of new models recently in order to try to stimulate demand again and revive its growth. In China, it rolled out the Model Y L. And lest we forget, it was not that long ago that Tesla rolled out the upgraded Model Y everywhere. … [continued]
