Hyperloop One Scales Back Its Testing Plans

Last year, Hyperloop One boldly promised what no one had promised before -- a full-scale, full speed test of its Hyperloop system in the Nevada desert. It told the world it would be a "Kitty Hawk moment," a reference to the time when Orville and Wilbur Wright ushered in the era of manned flight on December 17, 1903. The test was promised by the end of 2016, then it was moved back to early 2017, then March 31. Now it has been moved back again, but that's not the end of the bad news

On April 6, Hyperloop One hosted a conference on American infrastructure in Washington, DC, where it released details about the role it intends to play in bringing rapid, low-cost transportation to the nation. President Trump is proposing to spend $1 trillion on infrastructure during the next several years and those who want to participate in that plan are flocking to Washington to present their ideas. Elon Musk last week told administration officials that he can bore tunnels from coast to coast to help solve America's congestion problems

Hyperloop One Reaches Settlement In Lawsuit Filed By Former Employees

Hyperloop One has reached a settlement in its legal battle with a number of former employees, including the former Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and co-founder Brogan BamBrogan. The lawsuit by the former Hyperloop One employees alleged a wide variety of things, including threats, harassment, and, probably more importantly, financial mismanagement
