Scott Cooney

Scott Cooney, partner and founder of CleanTechnica.

For 16 years, CleanTechnica has been  a catalyst for positive change, pushing forward the conversation on solar, wind, electric vehicles, and other sustainable alternatives that can help solve the climate crisis. Scott helped found CleanTechnica and continues to be a driving force in its push to make the world a better place. He is a 5 time eco-entrepreneur, McGraw-Hill published author, public speaker, and former professor of sustainable business in the MBA program at the University of Hawaii. Scott gave his first environmental speech at age 17, and built a career on making the world a better place. Scott is a host of the CleanTech Talk podcast.

Through time, Scott has seen the power of focusing on solutions and progress, and the inevitable good that has come and will continue to come. Just think about it for a minute – the solar panel was invented in 1883. It took from then to 2022 for the world to install 1 terrawatt of solar generating capacity. It took only two years to double that production. Solar is now cheaper than pretty much any other source of power, meaning it will continue to grow at this blistering pace no matter what is going on in Washington, Saudi Arabia, or anywhere else. Doesn’t that make you feel inspired, hopeful, and see that the world is indeed getting there?

What we focus on matters, and it affects our ability to do the work, to sleep, to be present with our families, and to show up for those who need us and love us.

Scott has been a consultant and done workshops and corporate trainings for several Fortune 500 companies working in the sustainability space. Throughout his career his work has helped more than 1 million employees across retail, CPG, entertainment, communications, technology, and public utility sectors.

The workshops offered by CleanTechnica

We offer workshops based on a simple yet highly effective program. It is the culmination of years of work consulting, teaching, and leading workshops for a wide variety of audiences in the sustainability space. The program builds healthy habits and helps rewire the mind for health, wellness, productivity and focus. After one workshop, participants will have a private, personalized program of their own creation based on our format, and we will be there to support them through a 3 week challenge. That 3 week challenge is an important timeframe – science says that amount of time is needed to help practices become habitual. The goal is to build healthy habits for life. Throughout that 3 week challenge, your teams will form bonds that will help them feel more connected to their work, their coworkers, and their company.
