Something Tesla customers have wanted for a long time is finally here. Many people like to lease a new car and then continue with a lease buyout offer at the end of the lease period in order to make the car theirs. That’s something Tesla hasn’t offered, until now.
I just got the following email from Tesla:
Lease It or Keep It
You asked, we delivered.
With our new lease buyout option, you can now lease your Tesla vehicle and buy it outright at the end of your lease. Subject to state restriction.*
Lease a new Model 3 or Model Y starting at $299** per month or a new Model S, Model X or Cybertruck starting at $999** per month. All new deliveries will receive 3 months of free Supercharging and Full-Self Driving (Supervised) when you take delivery by the end of the year.***
I imagine we’ll follow up with some articles on what this means, and why it’s just arriving now. However, first of all, let us know what you think about this!
Naturally, this is again another feature or offer being provided in order to attract more buyers and lessees. But, beyond that, what does this news mean?
