As cities search for cleaner, smarter ways to move people and goods, Karbikes offers an exciting solution. Based in Strasbourg, France, this innovative company is reimagining urban mobility by combining the practicality of a small vehicle with the low carbon footprint of a bicycle.

Karbikes is dedicated to enabling low‑carbon urban transport, blending the safety and functionality of small vehicles with the minimal environmental impact of cycling. Founded to offer a practical alternative to fossil-fuel mobility, Karbikes promotes a future where bike‑based transport is safe, dry, and highly functional.

What Is A Karbike?

At its core, a Karbike is an electric-assist cargo bike designed to give you the comfort and utility of a car without the emissions, noise, or parking headaches. These enclosed bikes are built for everyday people — parents, delivery drivers, small business owners — who want a greener way to get around, rain or shine.

Three Models, Countless Possibilities

Karbikes currently offers three models: Kozi, Kubi, and Koli. Each one is tailored to different needs, but shares the same DNA: electric assistance, weather protection, and smart design made for real city life.

  • Kozi is perfect for families. It can carry one adult or two children, plus groceries or other cargo (up to 400 L of grocery or passenger capacity). With a modular layout, it’s ideal for school runs, errands, and weekend outings.
  • Kubi is compact, agile, and fast, which makes it great for personal commuting or light commercial use. It features a secure 500-liter storage box, a powerful electric motor with an automatic gearbox, reverse gear, and a connected app. All this, and you don’t need a driver’s license.
  • Koli is the workhorse of the lineup. Designed for professionals and last-mile deliveries, it can carry up to 150 kg (330 lb) in a massive 1,000-liter container. It’s customizable, efficient, and ready to replace vans for many types of businesses.

Designed & Built In France

Every Karbike is assembled in Karbikes’ Strasbourg factory by a team of dedicated engineers and technicians. Customers can configure their bike online, choosing everything from seating arrangements to cargo capacity.
