The Birch Grolar, a new entry into the all-terrain e-bike market, promises to be a rugged and versatile off-road electric bike, with dual motors for all-wheel drive, a heavy carrying capacity, and a long-travel front suspension fork. The Grolar is a quiet and quick zero-emissions transportation option for hunting, camping, fishing, bird-watching, or just about any other off-road activity.

The Birch Grolar features front and rear 750W hub motors for all-wheel drive capabilities, a payload capacity of 400 pounds, front and rear cargo racks, a 48V 1200Wh battery capable of a range of up to 85 miles per charge. The dual motors have a peak output of 1500W and 160Nm of torque, enabling the bike to climb slopes as steep as 45°. The rider can select either front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, dual-wheel drive, or self-adaptive drive in order to best suit the terrain. With puncture-proof 26″ x 4″ fat tires, a 9-speed Shimano shifter, 180mm dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes, a bright headlight, and a full-color display, the Birch Grolar is outfitted for all kinds of adventures off the beaten path.

The Grolar can be ridden in several pedal assist modes, using a torque sensor for a smooth motor response while pedaling, and also has a twist grip throttle for access to instant power, with a top assisted speed of 28 mph. The range per charge is about 45 miles in throttle-only mode, or up to 85 miles in pedal-assist mode, which should allow most riders to enjoy a long day out riding.

The Birch Grolar is essentially a synthesis of an electric mountain bike and a hunting e-bike, as its dual 750W high-torque motors give it the ability to easily take on steep ascents, while its long-travel front suspension fork and fat tires help it to glide over rough terrain and trails in all sorts of weather. The bike’s 1200Wh battery enables a long range between charging, which means more time riding and less time waiting, or more ground covered quickly, so that you can have the confidence to go adventuring all day, whether you’re going for a trail ride, or hunting, fishing, bird-watching, looking for Bigfoot, or just plain getting out of the city and into the woods.

“We spent countless hours talking to other experts in the field: fellow sportsmen, fishers, and hunters, to get an understanding of what they would want in an electric bike. Their answer? A rugged beast with great mileage, robust hauling capacity, and the ability to handle all types of terrain.

“This is where Birch electric hunting bikes were born. The perfect partners for outdoor enthusiasts and hunters alike, Birch all-terrain e-bikes can handle tough terrain, rocky landscapes, and steep inclines while offering extraordinary carrying capacity for the hunt.

“Engineered to conquer the wild without harming it, our silent electric vehicles are also designed to replace bulkier ATVs or gas guzzlers — offering a sustainable, modern alternative.” – Birch
