EVgo & Driivz Partner For “Enhancement” Of EV Charging Experience

Via EV Obsession:

The EV fast-charging network leader EVgo has partnered with the cloud-based EV infrastructure software platform Driivz for the enhancement of the EV fast-charging experience, according to an email sent to CleanTechnica and EV Obsession.

To be more specific, the partnership will see EVgo’s network transitioned to the Driivz software platform, and Driivz installed as EVgo’s preferred IT solutions service provider in North America.

Commenting on the partnership, the CEO of EVgo, Dave Schembri, stated: “Following an extensive worldwide review of options, EVgo selected Driivz as the most user friendly, stable, advanced and innovative SaaS platform for the management of electric vehicle charging infrastructure available today. We’re thrilled to partner with Driivz to continue expanding our network and offering innovative services to both EV drivers and our business partners.”

The email provides a bit more information:

“EV drivers using the EVgo network will be able to experience additional benefits, such as a state-of-the-art mobile application and upgraded web portal that will enable remote vehicle charging. The partnership will also allow for an improved enrollment process in EVgo’s wide assortment of billing plans, a simplified one-time payment process, special roaming billing capabilities and instant notification capabilities.

“For leading retailers and other businesses that host EVgo’s EV chargers at their locations, EVgo will offer a new direct access portal for charge reporting and data collection. For automobile manufacturers that partner with EVgo on special billing and promotion programs, EVgo will offer faster and more robust reporting as well.”

For those unfamiliar with it, Driivz is a cloud-based “user-friendly” software platform that is used in a wide number of different industries for somewhat different purposes.
