Tesla Wishes Fans A Merry Model X-Mas With New Video

Tesla blasted out well wishes for the holidays and included an interesting video which features an intense coordinated light show using none other than the recently released Tesla Model X. This seemed a bit out of character vs the hard work ethic Tesla is known for, until I thought about just how much of a nerd project this must have been to dream up and implement.

If this were only a light show, it would be interesting for thirty seconds, but things really get interesting when the falcon-wing doors join the party. I love seeing how they not only open and flap around on their own — but how they also change angles, which is one of the many marvels that came along with them. Being able to adjust at a second hinge allows the falcon-wing doors to be much more agile and to open in much tighter spaces.

I personally wouldn’t mind if they (permanently) installed these Christmas lights at my house unannounced. 🙂
