How do we know? Well, we’ve already established that every worthwhile move in Tesla’s history was a profound blunder.

The Gigafactory was a mistake:

Model X? A mistake:

A reminder about the Model X mistake:

Autopilot? Another mistake:

SolarCity acquisition? Mistake. No, disaster.

Model III? A huge mistake.

So the pattern is unarguable: Tesla’s juggernaut trajectory is fueled by catastrophic mistakes. With that in mind, here comes Model Y:

So the future could not be any brighter, as indicated by soothsayer Matthew DeBord of Business Insider. He’s the same guy who wrote about Tesla in the past tense during the recession, obviously a little too eager to drive the nails into the coffin. He’s now the best Tesla weathervane in all of journalism. Wherever his head is pointed, move your money to the ass direction and you’ll be rich.
