Australian comedian stalwart Tom Gleeson took to the stage earlier this month at the 2017 Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow, the highlight of the annual Melbourne Comedy Festival, and promptly skewered Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s renewable energy policy, Australia’s “ridiculous” electricity business model, and threw in a stab at taxi drivers just for the fun of it.
I’m not 100% certain how well Australian comedy translates internationally. Of course it’s funny to see the Aussie comedian up on stage, swearing and badgering people. If you are sensitive to swearing and “foul language” then you might want to move on, but for the sake of getting a good laugh to kick off the end of the week — and laughing at the foibles of Australia’s renewable energy and electricity policies — this video is well worth the 4 minutes.
Enjoy!
