Even Fox News Loves The Tesla Model 3

Tesla and the Model 3 just keep popping up in mainstream media, but this one has to take the cake. Fox News — of all places — just couldn’t help but to jump on the bandwagon with some Model 3 love … and in style. Fox didn’t tuck its position 3 minutes and 18 seconds into a clip and cover it up in another story, but instead, went whole hog and gave it a dedicated segment with anchor Greta van Susteren unloading tons of Model 3 stats for launch week.

It definitely comes across as a bit scripted, or even a bit forced … but hey, it’s fantastic news and great to see the Model 3 in the spotlight on a channel like this. I’m just wondering if someone either paid Fox News to put this segment up or who has a kid in college that called home asking for some cash for a Model 3. Everyone wants a Tesla and this segment is just proof positive that it is going to sell like hotcakes across segments.

Much like the Model S broke the high-end luxury segment, eating up sales of competitors while at the same time pulling customers in from other segments, the Model 3 is poised to dominate not only the entry-level luxury class, but the entire $25,000 to $70,000 price bracket. As Elon Musk said, this is not just the best EV you can buy at $35,000, this is the best CAR you can buy at $35,000 … and it is about to eat several automakers alive right in front of our eyes.

Check out the clip and let us know what you think. Is Fox drinking the Tesla Kool Aid? Was this segment written by a college teen on a drunken weekend binge and somehow ended up on air?
