As a quick synopsis, people are loving the new styling, the 5th seat, the acceleration and power, the new display, and the lower price (just $33,995).
The Volt drivers also did a little chatting about what they love about owning/leasing a Volt. Without much surprise, highlights were the minuscule amount of gas they have to buy, avoided trips to the gas station, access to HOV lanes, and how sporty and fun it is to drive.
I certainly haven’t hid my love for the new Volt. The extra all-electric range (up to 50 miles!) is excellent. I think it looks much better than the original Volt. The many little improvements GM made in response to owner feedback = exactly what a car company should do. And the price is right.
Honestly, if you’re looking for a car in that price range, the Volt is very hard to compete with. I’d be tempted to pay more for the BMW i3 or Tesla Model S, or save money by getting the Nissan LEAF, but depending on my financial situation, I could very well end up landing on the Volt. When it comes to value for the money, it’s very hard to beat.
