One of the most interesting sessions I attended during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week was a panel discussion at a Financial TimesIRENA event.

As one part of that, the CEO of 50 Hertz, Boris Schucht, discussed how his company managed a 9000 megawatt wind power forecast shortage in Germany that very easily could have resulted in a blackout. It’s an interesting story. Check it out:
