The Canadian province of Ontario recently opened up a 140 megawatt (MW) solar procurement round targeting projects over 500 kilowatts (kW) in size, as part of the larger “Large Renewable Procurement” program, according to recent reports.

The new solar tender is only open to pre-registered bidders. The list includes 42 different companies and can be found here.

Many big names are amongst those on the list, including: SunEdison, NextEra Energy Resources, Conergy, and EDF.

Project proposals need to be submitted by September 1, 2015. Project winners will reportedly be notified sometime in November and/or December.
