The Bentley Hybrid Concept — Bentley’s first production plug-in hybrid model — was recently teased by the luxury automaker, with a full unveiling scheduled to occur at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition at the end of the month.

While the press release announcing the upcoming unveiling didn’t include a plethora of details, there are a couple of interesting things to note. Perhaps most interesting is the claim that the plug-in hybrid system will provide a power increase of up to 25%, as well as helping to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 70%. That’s a significant increase in power. 🙂

As you can see in the images included here, the PHEV appears to be directly based on Bentley’s flagship Mulsanne model. The press release also stated that the Hybrid Concept possesses a range of about 31 miles when operating in the purely electric mode.

We’ll keep you up to date as more details emerge.
