Copenhagen, Cargo Bikes, Medals, Music, Medalists, ala Copenhagenize. What are we talking about? The Svajerløb 2012 — Danish Cargo Bike Championships. It looks like it was an incredible day.

Above are all the participants at the end of the day, and their bikes. If you ever thought you couldn’t transport something on a bike, think again. These guys and gals have probably done so with their wonderfully strong and utilitarian cargo bikes.

12 bikes, mostly Bullitts, but also a short-john and an Omnium, were involved in the competition.

Also, blended in the harmonies of the day was the happiness of the people from abroad who participated: “Above is Francesco, who brought two of his Bicicapace bikes and his his family… he took part in the Individual Two-Wheeler race and the Team Relay.”
Check out Copenhagenize, for more photos of the events. There really are folks that have lots of fun quite seriously without gasoline vehicles.
