Denmark’s Crown Princess, Mary Elizabeth (aka Mary Countess of Monpezat), who is actually from Tasmani, Australia, has been caught (that is, photographed) riding a cargo bike in the palace square outside Amalienborg (near the royalty’s residence).

“Actually, it’s the family’s cargo bike,” Mikael Colville-Andersen of Copenhagen notes. “The Crown Prince often drops off his kids at kindergarten in it.”

Of course, Denmark is a bicycling Mecca, so it’s not too surprising to see this news. But it still makes for quite a fun short story.
