OK, this is not a ground-breaking scientific breakthrough or a comprehensive new report on clean energy growth or insightful commentary on clean energy politics, but this is too cool not to share.
The pictures here are of “the world’s smallest solar-powered movie house,” the Sol Cinema.
The Sol Cinema seats about eight adults or twelve children. “The cinema is a converted two berth caravan from the 1960’s commissioned by the media arts charity Undercurrents,” as Jerry James Stone of TreeHugger writes. “It runs on four large lithium ion batteries charged by two 120W solar panels. Undercurrents encourages people to make environmental films.”
The cinema reports on its Facebook page that it has “a full library of comedy, music and environmental films.”
