If you’re in Tokyo tomorrow, make sure to check out Sony’s exhibit at the FC EXPO 2009. The company will display the newest version of its hybrid fuel cell, which contains a Li-on battery and a methanol fuel cell.

Sony’s fuel cell originally showed up on our radar last May, but now the company has two models of the technology: a portable model that comes with a USB connection and leather lanyard, and an internal version that can be used like a normal battery. Both the internal and external batteries have enough juice to power a cell phone for an entire month.

The company hasn’t revealed a release date for the fuel cell yet, but you can bet they’ll be a big hit when they finally reach store shelves.
