Magnetic Air Car Could Be Ready by 2010

magnetic air car

Last week, I took a trip down to San Jose for West Coast Green, an environmentally-focused conference with an emphasis on sustainable building. One booth stood out from the crowd—Magnetic Air Cars, Inc.. The San Jose-based company claims that it is working on the world’s first fuel-less car (as opposed to the World’s Most Fuel Efficient Car).

The Magnetic Air Car uses three on-board substations to harness compressed air. The resulting airflow is channeled, modulated, and converted to torque that propels the car.

According to company representative Paul Donovan, the car uses a silicon salt battery that has 30% more mass power than a lead acid storage battery and can charge completely within an hour. The 95 percent recyclable battery can also can be used in a temperature range from -40 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius.

Though the Magnetic Air Car has not yet been tested, Donovan hopes to have it ready for production by 2010. The company plans on building its first prototype at Club Auto Sport in San Jose in the near future.

The vehicle draws comparisons to Tata Motors’ 106 mpg air car, but Donovan says that the Tata Motors design uses pistons while the Magnetic Air Car design uses magnetic technology.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any more details available on the Magnetic Air Car at this time. But if the prototype is successful, I’m sure we’ll hear plenty more about this company.

  1. if you replaced the cylinders in a car with magnets one with constant polarity and one with a changing polarity(dedicated chip) and with a dedicated Generator for ea magnet or set of magnets would produce enough force for attraction and repulsion.Unlike a gas which only uses the explosion for force. Two way force i call it.This way more than one cylinder can be attracting or repulsing at the same time! The engine does not have to be metal and there is no need for a cooling system,So no radiator as well. The weight cut is tremendous.I cant see why this would not work!!Bob Conner

  2. Bob Conner. How refreshing to see someone blog who knows and understands how something like this works. You are correct, not only will the use of south facing magnetizm be used but the voltage to the magnets can be adjusted to increase output as the generator is stressed and the timing, of the pulsed EM can be controlled by computer, advancing or retarding as needed to inrease performance. This creates a False Event Horizon and eliminates the need to phase the Magnet Motor to a north/south phase in order to function. So far the Overunity Generator has twelve horsepower and 40Kw output and the Alternator puts out more than enough energy to make sure the Battery stays charged. The best news is that we now have the funding we need to get really crazy with the newest design. So this is good bye until we have something really earth shattering to report. We will now ‘go stealth’ and build the future. To all those who Poo Pooed this concept, NO BIGGY! You fall into the same category as every person who read a sience book and never allowed yourself to see beyond the pages. And to those who are enlightened and open minded I will say, NEVER settle for what someone tells you CAN NOT BE. Always follow what you know and never let yourself stop dreaming. In closing, I will simply say, the second law of Thermaldynamics and all the laws of Power Production were written for the continuation of this country’s addiction to Oil.
The total lack of oil, in our design, grants us the right to say these “LAWS” DO NOT APPLY!

  3. Overunity? Magnet Motor? FALSE EVENT HORIZON???? You’ve gotta be kidding me!

Paul, you obviously watched too much Star Trek. Your silly scifi talk, combined with poor grammar and capilization, should make any half-witted person run like HELL from your scam. I guess you found a few quarter-wits or something to fund you.

Yeah, I bet you’re going stealth…until you run out of funds again.

I won’t hold my breath. You deserve to rot in jail, and I’ll bet $100 you’ll be there before this vaporcar ever sees light of day.

  4. I am a believer in new ways of compressing air though I haven’t proven my ideas. I am still waiting for Magnetic Air Cars to respond to my query. They claim that their technology was invented by Roy Meyers of Los Angeles who passed his knowledge on to J M Custer of Arkansas. I asked for the slightest bit of documentation that these two inventors had ever met. No response. There is no evidence that Magnetic Air Cars has any technical plans. I am waiting for them to prove me wrong. Their website is entirely devoid of any indication that they know or care anything about compressed air.

  5. Their website is devoid of ANYTHING…including coherent thought. All they know about is HOT air…how to babble it long enough to scam other idiots out of their hard-earned funds.

  6. PS…if you haven’t done the math already…12hp (listed above) is about 9kw, not the 40kw they claim.

If they can’t even fake the basic arithmetic correctly, do you think these blowhards could out-think millions of true PhD’s?

    Duh…

  7. Total joke.

quote from peswiki that puts it like I see it

“There’s a small chance that they’re a bunch of misguided, uneducated, amatuers who don’t understand enough engineering and physics to know why their project is doomed. However, I believe that it’s almost certainly a scam. This kind of fraud targets the “why can’t I attach a generator to the wheels of my electric car and use it to charge the batteries?” crowd. However, since that one is easily refuted, they combine several devices into their complex fictional device so that layman has a more difficult time seeing why it’s impossible.

One of the clearest signs they’re committing fraud is that they spout several claims; each of which would represent a major scientific breakthrough. If these claims were true, it would be far more natural to demonstrate them separately and make a huge scientific splash rather than try and package them into a flashy car. Just proving a working “magnetic motor” might well earn them a Nobel prize.

Here are some examples of pure gibberish: “The air flow is then tubocharged [sic] …” - this makes no sense. “and multiplied …” - creating air?. “to where the resulting horse-pressure™ smoothly powers the car” - just plain funny. “to incredible speeds” - I agree with the “incredible” part. “The problem they had, besides the air tanks, was once they got to speed, how do you throttle the engine.” - More nonsense. All air cars that I’m aware of have perfectly good throttling systems. The biggest problems are the low energy density of compressed air and the low efficiencies of the air motors and compressors.

Here’s another funny bit: “The inside of the cabin will be recycled with clean filtered air.” - After all this talk of magnetic motors and horse-pressure, etc, they find it necessary to discuss the fictional car’s cabin air conditioning? “

  8. You can call whatever you want a joke but the system is real. Its basic math. Im not to smart concerning the magnetic part but the air part i do understand. The whole this boils down to canceling equal opposite reactions in the system to decrease power requirements or input that energy back into the system.

We have developed a pure isothermal air compressor. Just imagine producing 100 psi with a 70 in 70 out temperature rating from a compressor.

  9. “Im not to smart”, eh? Don’t worry…WE NOTICED. That speaks volumes, especially coming from a guy who is his own schizophrenic twin. Two half-wits does not make a whole wit, I’m sorry to say.

You idiot scammers aren’t even smart enough to be dangerous. You are your own worst enemy…every time you get on the keyboard, you drive another nail in your coffin. KEEP IT UP, I say!

“Just imagine”…is about all that needs to be said about that.

  10. We changed the name because we are not going to manufacture Cars. We plan to build Motors and Generators only. I see the usual rash of people who just want too lash-out or vent their hatred on people they’ll never meet face to face has grown. These are the same people who enjoy a really good Conspiracy Theory. You know, “Man never went to the moon, it all happened in a Hollywood Movie Lot.” Yeah right, what ever. We do have the money and we do have the backing of one of the largest investment capital firms on the planet. This time next year we will have the last laugh. I print-out all these negative blogs so I can have a real ig laugh when we succede.
