Algal Biofuels, EVs, Hydrogen-Powered Cars (Exclusive Interview With NREL Director Dan Arvizu)
During my January trip to Abu Dhabi for Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week*, I got to sit down with the director of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Dan Arvizu, and talk to him about a variety of cleantech topics. Actually, I got to interview him twice. I’m publishing a few videos from the interviews, with the one below being the second (the first was on the topic of distributed energy / distributed solar).
This video below tackles clean transport technologies. We talk a lot about algae (algal biofuels), electric vehicles, hydrogen-powered cars, and more efficient gasoline-powered transport (ICE vehicles). Check it out:
Check out Dan Arvizu’s webpage on the NREL website for more information about him, his accomplished past, his current work, and recent presentations and speeches.
And stay tuned for more exclusive content from CleanTechnica.
*Full Disclosure: my trip to Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week was funded by Masdar. That said, I was completely free to cover what I wanted throughout the week, and at no point did I feel under pressure to cover any specific events or Masdar in any particular way.
