What’s all the fuss about BIL and NEVI? They mean great things for the cleantech revolution, the adoption of EVs in the US, and for improving the EV driver and charging experience. 

Let’s break down those acronyms first: we all know EVs (electric vehicles); BIL = the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which was passed in 2021; NEVI = the National EV Infrastructure program; FHWA = Federal Highway Administration. The BIL includes the NEVI program, which allocates five billion dollars over five years to all US States for EV infrastructure (cleantechies and EV drivers rejoice!). 

On June 14th, 2022, CleanTechnica’s CEO, Zachary Shahan, will host experts for a live webinar to discuss the NEVI program, its requirements, and what this means for EV drivers and their charging experience in the United States. We’ll discuss the EV charging programs individual states are developing to make use of the funds allocated for EV charging infrastructure. The FHWA has issued guidelines for the NEVI program that each state must follow, so we’ll go over what this means for EV drivers, too.
