Crowdfunding For New Electric Three-Wheeler From Terra Motors

Terra Motors is a fresh Japan-based corporation looking to electrify the tuk tuk / 3-wheeler market. It is building a distinctive innovative approach to quality tuk tuks that could transform the market. The company joins this with pure Japanese roots of esteemed quality control, development, service, and technology. Of course, as electric vehicles, this would greatly help to clean the air and improve quality of life in the Asian and Pacific markets where tuk tuks are common.

As Green Car Congress reports, “Terra is targeting the three-wheeler at markets such as in the Philippines and India. Terra Motors sees the introduction of low-cost electromobility in such markets addressing combined problems of low-income as well as pollution and health.”

Founded in 2010, Terra Motors and an established seller of electric scooters are venturing ahead with their new electric three-wheeler in an unconventional funding way, as well. The company is seeking to crowdfund $50,000 to help get mass production rolling via IndieGogo.

Terra Motors’  low-cost, low-footprint, electric three-wheelers are easy to get in and out of.  The new three-wheelers add to a growing landscape of clean energy vehicles that assure the eventual disappearance of oil for transportation. Electric transportation is a key to societal sustainability, and this is an important sector of the transportation market.

It is not surprising that Terra is already Japan’s top electric motorcycle maker. Terra Motors execs come from Sony, Apple, Google, Compaq, and Toyota.
