The noted lithium-ion battery manufacturer Leclanché has acquired the Belgian battery company Trineuron, according to recent reports.
The move will presumably improve Leclanché’s range of potential offerings (both with regard to batteries and systems work) while also strengthening its position in various different markets.
As a result of the acquisition, Leclanché will also be gaining the 10-person strong Trineuron engineering team, in addition to an existing order pipeline and sales backlog and a fairly large customer base in some of the transportation sectors.
As part of the deal, the Managing Director of Trineuron, Stefan Louis, will reportedly join Leclanché as CSO.
