CleanTechnica Electric Air Mobility Roundup
Another week, another round of electric air mobility news, urban air mobility (UAM), and more green aviation.
Another week, another round of electric air mobility news, urban air mobility (UAM), and more green aviation.
The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) outdid itself this year. Electric urban air mobility (UAM) was present with new players Jaunt Air Mobility, the fascinating XTI Aircraft, Uber Elevate, Bell, Boeing, and Airbus. What was so special about it this year? It wasn’t the timid show of electric UAM shows of the past. Can you say, “They’re here…?”
The first time we reported on the XTI TriFan 600 aircraft was in 2017. Since then, the vertical take-off & landing (VTOL) aircraft has continued to develop and recently concluded its first hover test.
As a followup to a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) company we covered a little while back, XTI Aircraft announced another more pre-orders for its 60 TriFan. After a good showing in Florida and extra orders coming in from the superyacht community, the total is up to 60, and counting.
Hailed as “the world’s first vertical takeoff airplane,” the XTI Aircraft TriFran 600 is continuing to generate interest in its vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) TriFan.
