Solar roofing maverick 3 IN 1 ROOF is looking to leapfrog Tesla in its bid for UL approval for its solar roof shingle. Fort Lauderdale-based 3 IN 1 has submitted a plan for UL approval, which could take place prior to Tesla’s solar shingle approval.
The early February breakthrough in California energy storage rules under Net Energy Metering will still take time to be codified, but the great news is that energy from storage can be sold to utilities as long as the storage equipment meets a new Underwriters Laboratory standard.
