The central element of the Tesla Model 3 — in more ways than one — is its touchscreen. If you’re like me, you’re probably a little concerned about damaging that thing. So, I was happy to get the opportunity to review a new Model 3 touchscreen protector from Launch.
One lucky driver had a unique opportunity to educate law enforcement about the Tesla Model 3. Unfortunately, it happened in the middle of a traffic stop and the entire exchange was caught on camera.
I’ll start out with the fact that Tesla cheats. In fact, so do all fully electric vehicles to some extent. Build an EV and put the battery pack on the floor — instant superior handling is obtained by simple physics. Then, add a silent, dutifully designed and powerful electric motor, and gas cars don’t have a chance. We all have heard about EVs’ low maintenance and instant torque. Put all of this into a low-cost, attractive package and the modern electric vehicle should sell itself. And indeed, this is the tale of Tesla’s success with the Model 3.
Consumer Reports gives the Tesla Model 3 a “Not Recommended” rating. More than anything else, it found inconsistent braking performance to be a problem.
Lots of reviews discuss Model 3 — its performance and driving attributes, its interior and exterior design, the basic functionality achieved through the landscape display and a myriad of other features. In fact, here at EVANNEX, we’ve done one of those with a very early vehicle.
We’ve seen a handful of Tesla Model 3 review videos floating around — including an excellent hour-long, deep dive into the car’s features by our friends at Model 3 Owners Club. That said, we just got a chance to conduct an in-depth evaluation of Model 3 for ourselves. It’s a fascinating car, and in our view, will come to dominate the mid-sized sedan segment over the next few years.
Following up on Steve and Kyle’s great coverage of Tesla Model 3 exterior details and Tesla Model 3 interior + infotainment details, here’s my piece covering the third segment of the Model 3 Owners Club’s deep dive into a Model 3 they came across.
Trevor from the Tesla Model 3 Owners Club reached out to us for a sneak peak at a video they put together that dives deep into just about every nook and cranny of a brand new, first-run Pearl White Tesla Model 3 Long Range.
To do the video justice, we broke the video out into 3 segments that cover roughly 20 minutes each. Following up on Steve’s article, I will be diving into the interior and touchscreen details, and then Zach will dive into control stalks, the keycard & app, windshield wipers, driving experience, and a bit more.
A series of videos by Joe Torbati & OCDetailing of the new Model 3 left an impressive impression of the freshest Tesla EV to roll off the lines, a car that is receiving perhaps unprecedented attention. Hope and expectations are that it may become as familiar as the Toyota Camry was in its prime.
The first Tesla Model 3 delivered outside of California has found its way to Austin, Texas, where the delivery process was videotaped and uploaded to YouTube by Matt Holm, a friend of the proud new owner.
