I dove into Waymo’s automotive partnerships and Mobile’s automotive partnerships this week, and I wanted to do the same with Nvidia. However, Nvidia is a bit of an interesting case because it creates partnerships at various levels and in various ways with automakers. For example, many don’t realize that Nvidia still works closely with Tesla.
The CEOs of Mercedes-Benz and Nvidia announced today at a press event that they were launching a partnership for a, quoting Ola Källenius, “groundbreaking, software-defined, high-performance computer architecture for driving assistance and autonomous drive.”
NVIDIA is helping the transportation industry by giving it access to its deep neural networks (DNNs) for autonomous vehicles.
