Beyond The Tesla Model 3: What’s The Next “Hit” EV In The US?

The Tesla Model 3 has now moved into the top sales ranks of all cars in the US, not just EVs, as CleanTechnica director and chief editor Zachary Shahan wrote recently in “Tesla Model 3 — 7th/8th Best Selling Car In USA — Is In A Class Of Its Own.”

Life With Electric Vehicles — New Nissan LEAF, Renault Zoe, Tesla Model S, BMW i3,…

Our local Tesla Shuttle arm in Poland has been operating for over a year. One of our co-founders, Tomek Gać, has also had a Nissan LEAF for years and he recently test drove the new Nissan LEAF and the Jaguar I-PACE. However, Tesla was still steeply ramping production of the Model 3, with one foot still in production hell, as CEO Elon Musk put it.

Baidu is doing what Apple should have done but didn’t — build a Level 4 autonomous  driving platform to sell to vehicle manufacturers. The Chinese company has been developing its self-driving platform called Apollo for the past several years but has no desire to manufacture vehicles. So far, it has 116 clients for Apollo, including Jaguar Land Rover, Valeo, Byton, Leopard Imaging, and Suning Logistcs.
