Numerous reports published this week have raised the specter that Donald Trump’s White House will move to exit the Paris Climate Agreement, or at the very least, downgrade the country’s commitment to the Agreement.
With insiders predicting Donald Trump’s senior advisers will aim to decide whether the United States will stay a part of the Paris climate agreement or not by Tuesday, a growing number of unlikely climate allies have arisen, including Washington’s new power-couple, JIvanka, as well as officials from fossil fuel companies such as Exxon and Shell.
The much-ballyhooed meeting between former Vice President and climate change campaigner Al Gore and Ivanka Trump, daughter to the President-Elect, may have turned out somewhat differently than many had expected, with the meeting turning into a three-way conversation with President-Elect Donald Trump.
