Swedish energy group Vattenfall has won the most recent subsidy-free offshore wind tender in the Netherlands, being awarded this week the right to build the 760 megawatt (MW) Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) 3 & 4 offshore wind farm.
Spanish wind turbine giant Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is in final talks to supply its 10 megawatt offshore wind turbines to the four offshore wind farms being built in the Hollandse Kust Zuid Wind Farm Zone which, upon completion, could have over 1,400 megawatts worth of capacity.
Swedish power company Vattenfall has been awarded the contract to build two 350 megawatt offshore wind farms in the Netherlands which, upon completion in 2022, will be the first offshore wind farms to be built without subsidies.
