2017 Chevy Volt vs 2015 Nissan Leaf (Test Drive & Comparison )

December 30th, 2016 | by Cynthia Shahan

Before I committed to the Nissan Leaf, I test drove many EVs with Zach, whose boundless energy for fitting as much as humanly possible into one day pushed me to my limit of test driving. Here is my refreshed comparison of a Volt versus a Leaf — specifically, a 2017 Chevy Volt vs 2015 Nissan Leaf

Mercedes B250e Deconstructed In Fully Charged Video Review

December 20th, 2016 | by Kyle Field

The always entertaining Bobby Llewellyn of Fully Charged loves getting into new EVs and taking them out for a spin. This time, he's secured a Mercedes B250e. This is functionally the same car as my wife's Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive, which we have had for 2 years now — it has simply taken on the new B250e moniker to fit more seamlessly into the standard Mercedes naming convention

2016 Ford Focus Electric Review (In Extreme Depth!)

December 1st, 2016 | by Guest Contributor

Don’t be shocked if you didn’t know about it, Ford does not advertise or push that it has an amazing product on its hands. Not all dealers want them, not all dealers can sell them, and they’re made in very limited quantities. For the few of us who have one, we appreciate that Ford has made it, are happy to be driving it, and are saving thousands of dollars in maintenance and fuel costs compared to an internal combustion car

2015 Nissan Leaf — 1 Year Review

November 30th, 2016 | by Cynthia Shahan

It's been just over one year since our long-term review of a 2015 Nissan Leaf started (~4 articles/month). The EV is still smooth, and jazzy, like Bossa Nova. The city I live in has a wonderful charging infrastructure, which I've raved about and been thankful for. However, Nissan dealerships often have other cars or SUVs in the charging spots. (Some possible advice on that one -- pull around to the back if the spot in the front it blocked. You may find one by the service station. Also, even if the dealership doesn't have a public charging station, the service station probably does.)

Nissan Leaf vs Cadillac XTS Luxury Sedan

October 29th, 2016 | by Cynthia Shahan

For a road trip from Tampa (FL) to Cocoa (FL), the best option on the lot after some last-minute changes to our plans was a Cadillac XTS luxury sedan. While it wasn't what we would have initially chosen, the opportunity to drive a luxury Cadillac was actually an editorial boon. After a year of happily driving an all-electric Nissan Leaf, I had an occasion to compare the Leaf to a gasoline luxury sedan with a starting price of $45,295, which is approximately $10,000 more than the Leaf's price before subsidies
