As Model 3 begins to appear on the UK’s streets, local automotive news outlets are publishing their reviews of Tesla’s highly-anticipated electric vehicle. One such publication, CAR Magazine, just released a written review and provocative video about Tesla’s lower-priced, smaller sedan.
The Tesla Model 3 has won the 2019 “Car of the Year” award from the UK’s Auto Express. They call the Tesla Model 3’s performance and range “Brilliant.” The same sentiment is shared across much of the UK’s media. Why so different from US media reporting about Tesla?
I’ve owned the Model 3 for exactly one year now. What I like most about the car is that it’s 100% electric, burns no gas, and has zero emissions. There’s so much to the car that I love, and I mean it when I say that the car has changed my life. I realize that’s a big statement to make so I’d like to explain what I mean by that.

This story was supposed to start with the delivery of my Tesla Model 3 with zero on the odometer — which did not happen — and myself heavily in debt — which did happen. However, it’s a positive story, so far…
I was so glad to see this Motor Trend comparison of the top 3 sport sedans you can buy for around $50,000, and to see that it included the Tesla Model 3, I’m tired of reading reviews comparing the Model 3 to other electric cars. Everyone knows where it stands compared to other electric cars (it beats them for the most part, unless you have special requirements, like you need an SUV), but as well as Tesla has sold car over the last year, there are still places where people have no idea about Tesla or any electric car.
Ernest Hemingway once wrote that “today is only one day in all the days that will ever be, but what will happen in all the other days that ever come can depend on what you do today.”
