Let’s dive into a new partnership between Nissan, E.ON, Newcastle University, Imperial College London, Northern Powergrid, UK Power Networks, and National Grid ESO — with Nissan and E.ON forming the core of the partnership. The consortium is named e4Future.
Hyundai Air Mobility (part of Hyundai Motor Group) and Urban-Air Port have teamed up to “explore new, purpose built, multifunctional and scalable infrastructure to enable Urban Air Mobility (UAM).” Think it’s just a side project? Think it’s marketing? Think again. Hyundai plans to invest $1.5 billion in the next 5 years to both develop an air vehicle and help develop the broader urban air mobility ecosystem.
Jaguar Land Rover has a new concept vehicle out that looks quite similar to a few concept vehicles from other automakers (Tesla sort of included). It’s basically part of a new class of vehicles that designers apparently think will become the norm as the industry evolves into autonomous transport.
