Post-IPCC 1.5C Report, UK Government Seeks Advice On Net-Zero Emissions Target

A week after the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change published its landmark report warning that limiting global warming to 1.5°C will "require rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society," the UK Government has sought advice from the country's Committee on Climate Change on setting a date for a net-zero emissions target.

The fight to tackle climate change in the United Kingdom continues apace, but recent good news shows that household energy bills have actually decreased alongside efforts which have successfully reduced the country's emissions, according to a new study from the country's climate advisory body.
