Whimsy seems to be the watchword for commercials advertising hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles right now. A few days ago, Hyundai started airing a pair of delightfully amusing ads featuring ordinary citizens singing a song that begins, “I’d like to buy a hybrid car but I’m not sure it’s for me.” It then shows a series of folks like construction workers, court reporters, dog groomers, and karate instructors. In 60 seconds, the ads destroy all the common misconceptions about hybrid cars.

Back in September, I got on Nissan’s mailing list to be the “first to know” when the 2016 LEAF was released. I also asked a local Nissan dealer to contact me when it was available. Neither one contacted me. One would think that the biggest update to the LEAF in … [continued]
Originally published on EV Obsession. It’s hard to call this the best Tesla fan commercial yet since it doesn’t really highlight any of the Tesla Model S’s awesome features (other than it’s cool look). “Gallons of Light” was certainly an awesome commercial that is hard to compete with. But hey, it’s … [continued]
