Mercom Capital Group is a highly regarded clean energy consulting firm with worldwide influence. Double-Digit Growth in 3Q Clean Tech Investment Despite Economic, Political Headwinds

Clean tech investments rose 12% quarterly and 23% year-to-year in 3Q 2011, totaling $3.34 billion and 189 transactions. Slowing activity in major economies and the possibility of another breakdown in the global financial system hampered clean tech investment growth in 3Q, yet overall investment levels continued to exhibit strong growth, according to preliminary results of a Cleantech Group research report


Top 10 Clean Energy States (& Bottom 10)

Any "top 10" list is going to be a bit ambiguous, unless you're ranking something that is very simply scored and ranked, like sports teams. Ranking states or countries on cleantech matters, especially cleantech or clean energy as a whole, is a little more difficult. So, I steer away from making such lists. However, if someone else makes one, it's a fun thing to cover. Clean Edge recently published its 2nd annual U.S. Clean Energy Leadership Index, which includes critical data and analysis on the nation's clean energy landscape.
