I still find it hard to believe that I am a “early adopter.” Soon, I hope I will not be thinking “Why are there not more EV drivers?” Well, I do thank my lucky stars on this one. Primarily, I thank CleanTechnica.com and EVObsession.com for pointing me to “right drivelihood.” But it’s not just the cars and social support that make the EV movement. There’s an entire “EV ecosystem” in place, and growing.
The Obama administration has been on a role advancing EV charging across the US. The latest news from the administration is that the United State Department of Transportation (DOT) is establishing 48 national electric vehicle charging corridors. Thank you, President Obama, and we hope you and Michelle will be driving in an all-electric vehicle soon as well.
Tuesday, October 25, will bring forth another judgement on the Volkswagen emissions scandal. Many states will have a good amount of money going into EV education and infrastructure as part of the resolution to the Volkswagen scandal. With $2 billion for EV charging infrastructure and education programs, the judgement promotes a specific avenue for undoing VW’s damage, but some details are still up in the air.
